Evening everyone,
Having just joined and starting to do my PPL, some of you may have seen me at the airfield and wondered who I am. In case your puzzled by this here goes....Hello there!! I'm Adrian Broadbent 45 years old, have wanted to learn to fly for years, but time, family commitments and work have stood in the way until now. I've been employed for most of my adult life by both the CAA (but I'm not a bad person-honest!) and more recently by NATS where I currently work as an Air Traffic Control Assistant at Swanwick. I have done some flying in GA aircraft mainly as a passenger, and really regret not taking this up earlier. Did a bit of gliding in the Air Cadets and other air experience flying mainly in Chipmunks and the like.
I hope to do my PPL as quickly as work and kids allow on days off and then start visiting places around the UK and doing the things everyone seems to do when they first get their licence...if you do see me about do come and introduce yourselves as I hope to meet as many members as possible. Likewise i hope to bring some of my enthusiasm for aviation to the club too!!
