Saturday 17th April 2010 - Everyone is welcome!
Our Microlight Open Day is open to everyone, whether you are just curious about the world of light aviation, or are hoping to achieve your microlight license.
We will have our fully qualified instructors on hand to chat to, and our Microlight aircraft will be on standby just for you - trial flights will be avaliable throughout the day.
Compton continues to be one the most successful airfields in the UK. The microlight side of things is expanding with another instructor and a further addition to our microlight fleet, a statement about our positive feelings for the future of the airfield and of the ever expanding Microlighting world.

Why all the excitement about Microlights?
- They open up a new, more affordable way of flying, particularly relevant at this point in time.
- They have come along leaps and bounds in the past couple of years - with huge advancements in technology creating state of the art machines. You can travel in comfort and style over huge distances should you want to go touring.
- You only need 25 hours of instructional time to get your Microlight license.
- The Microlighting community is perhaps one of the most cohesive in aviation.
- They are brilliant fun!
We look forward to seeing lots of you on the 17th. There are no obligations and no payments to make on the day; just come and say hi and get the most out of our team of aviators. Bring a bit of pocket money though - it would be a shame for the aircraft to stay on the ground!
