Compton Abbas Airfield

Compton Abbas Airfield has, without doubt, one of the best airfield restaurants in the country. Set in beautiful English countryside, the views from the restaurant and terrace area reach out over the runway and for almost 30 miles to the horizon. We have a large inside seating area with a fully licensed bar, and a great runway terrace where you can sit and have a bite to eat whilst watching the aircraft activity.

We are open from 9.30am until 6pm throughout the Summer months (with occasional late flying evenings) and from 9.30am until 5pm throughout the Winter. The restaurant and flying club are open everyday of the week and all year round - we just close for a few days over Christmas. So whether it’s a perfect cup of freshly brewed morning coffee, a delicious midday meal, or a relaxing afternoon tea you will not be disappointed!

We use local produce - all of which is freshly prepared for you when you order. You will find the prices surprisingly reasonable given the high quality of the food, with main meals averaging £6.75.

Breakfast - Served from 09:30 - 11.30 every day

Afternoon Tea - served afternoon time...

We have a great selection of cakes from millionaire shortbread slices to our Compton Fruit Cake and huge sticky slices of lemon cake. In the Summer we have our popular cream teas whic are great to enjoy on a sunny runway terrace.

Please note that this is only a taster menu, therefore not all the meals listed above will appear on the menu each day! However we do always have an extensive selection from which you can make your choice.
