First and foremost is the airfield restaurant which has brilliant views across the runway and beyond. Have a look at the taster menu and opening hours here. We do get extremely busy, particularly in the Summer months. So we have introduced a Fast Track System - just for those of you flying in - which means that you can order your food from operations when you come and sign in. Your order goes straight to the front of the queue in the kitchen and you will be happily eating your meal in under five minutes.
We have also introduced a new Pilots Lounge and Briefing Area. You can use this room to relax and have a browse through the reading materials with a cuppa, or make use of the free wifi internet access for planning your onward journey.
If you are visiting us for more than a bite to eat, come and ask us at operations for places to visit in the local area. We can give you a few suggestions and help you with ordering a taxi if you need one. Shaftesbury, made famous by the Gold Hill Hovis advert, is just five minutes away by car, Salisbury is only half an hour, and there are some beautiful walks which start on the airfield if you're feeling a bit more adventurous.
If you want to stay in the area there are some fantastic rural B&B's in close proximity. Or bring a tent and camp under the wing of your aircraft for the night - waking up to a tasty breakfast with us in the morning.
